Are you a 24/7 employee?

Because if you are, it’s probably costing you more than you think.
You wake up and check your emails before your feet hit the floor. You skip lunch because you’re “too busy.” You’re still working when the kids go to bed. You lie there at night thinking about tomorrow’s meetings.
You call it commitment. Loyalty. Hustle.
But let’s be honest—it's survival mode.
And it’s exhausting.
You’ve become a 24/7 employee. And maybe no one warned you that the grind doesn’t stop—until you do.
How do you know it’s you?
You feel guilty when you’re not working.
You sacrifice weekends, dinners, and sleep.
You can’t remember the last time you did something just for fun.
You say “yes” even when you’re drowning.
You constantly feel behind, no matter how hard you work.
And what do you get in return?
Maybe a “thanks” in a team meeting.
Maybe a slight bump in pay.
Maybe nothing at all.
Because here’s the truth no one likes to say out loud: you are replaceable. They’ll hire someone else before your desk chair even cools down.
So why are you giving them everything?
This isn’t about quitting your job.
It’s about not quitting your life in the process.
Work hard? Hell yes. But not at the cost of your health, your relationships, your peace.
So what now?
Say no when you need to.
Take your damn lunch break.
Turn off your notifications after hours.
Start taking your life back—one boundary at a time.
Because The Grind Lyfe isn’t about destroying yourself just to pay bills. It’s about showing up strong, clear, and on your terms.
One challenge for this week:
Do something just for you. No guilt. No agenda. Just because you’re human, and you matter beyond your job.
As always
Keep Grinding
B-Glow xx
